Publishing homework

How to write and send the weekly letter. Five minutes, once a week.

  1. Open the toolkit and pick your class

Go to cmsj-hindi-toolkit.pages.dev and tap your class once. It is remembered on that device, so next week you land straight on it. Your class also decides which Drive folder the letter links to.

  2. Choose the week

It opens on today's session. The dropdown lists all 32 sessions from the official calendar, closed Saturdays left out. A tick means a letter is already written for that week.

  3. Type what you covered — one line each

Short lines, in the order you taught them. For example: Learned the ऋ matra, pages 18–20.

  4. Type the homework — one line each

Start a line with a short label and a colon to get the label column: Reading: pages 18–20. A line with no label reads as a plain item, so a week with no numbers homework needs no placeholder.

  5. Check the letter on the right

It updates as you type. The date, session count, what to bring, the next class and the next quiz are all filled in for you — you never type a date.

  6. Print / PDF, then upload

Press Print / PDF, choose Save as PDF, and put the file in your class folder in Drive. Keep the scale at 100% — a higher scale pushes the contact details onto a second page.

Typing Hindi. Select any number and press H to turn it into Devanagari numerals (30 → ३०), or S for the Hindi word (30 → तीस). The two buttons at the bottom-left do the same thing. Everything else you can paste or type with your usual keyboard.

Worth knowing

Works offlineNothing to install and no sign-in. If you lose wifi mid-letter, keep typing — only Print needs nothing at all.
Nothing autosavesFinish the letter and print it in one sitting. Closing the tab loses what you typed.
On your phoneThe editor and the letter stack one above the other. Fine for posting homework straight after class.
